After viewing the profile of a distant Facebook friend of mine, I've decided to QR Code myself. For those of you who are un-familar with QR coding, wikipedia features a decent article on the subject.

Are you concerned about the state of our national security due to the recent release of sensitive government documents by Wikileaks? Senator Lieberman sure is, and he's introducing legislation to keep it from happening again.

A written statement recently released by Lieberman, details his concern
"The recent dissemination by Wikileaks of thousands of State Department cables and other documents is just the latest example of how our national security interests, the interests of our allies, and the safety of government employees and countless other individuals are jeopardized by the illegal release of classified and sensitive information."

Lieberman's solution, AKA The SHIELD Act (Securing Human Intelligence and Enforcing Lawful Dissemination) aims to amend existing espionage law to include the release of HUMIT or Human Intelligence should it be prejudicial to U.S. interests.

Too bad Lieberman's new proposed provision wouldn't effect Julian Assange, given the constitutions ban on ex post facto criminal laws.

The SHIELD Act is co-sponsored by senators John Ensign (R-NV) and Scott Brown (R-MA), read it below.
